Your product are programmable LED pois?

That does seem like a very good fit for a good video that can spread on TikTok etc on its own if some performers upload videos.

NO that's a side project - my product is my juggling/magic shows here in Durban (also good for video though). I made the poi for myself and open sourced it, now people are selling them in Brazil, and Australia. Sometimes I get a bit of cash from it but not a lot.

I see. Not sure if TikTok is the best plattform then as you want a very local audience (but I never used TikTok, just watched family members do).

I rather would try to get an entry on google maps. Meaning when people browse the area, they see your thing. I certainly like to discover new stuff like this in new areas and some things I find are clearly there because of ads, but other got there by other ways. Making a entry by hand, publishing a picture there with further info ..

We are on Google Maps. Many 5* ratings (apart from that one psycho neighbour who objected to me asking him to turn his base down - they left one night without paying their rent and a week later my business has 1* review. urrgh 10 years and I'm still annoyed)

Instagram has apparently got hyper specific location targeting, so we are doing an ad on there now.

Maybe you just need to update your act. Eat some tide pods or something.

I think the Magician equivalent is David Blaine, making people pass out from shock because you smuggled a fake spider into their ear or something.

Mostly we do kids entertainment though, so that's not really going to convice moms to hire my magic show for Bobby's birthday

Ok here's an idea, you find leads of houses in your area with a kid whose birthday is coming up and send them flyers. You're a dev guy this should be up your alley. $1 each with Postgrid API or do it yourself and it's the cost of your time + stamps + papercuts. Where do you get those leads do you ask? That's actually a good question and I'll need to get back to you on that. Make sure to put a QR code on the flyers.
